Ms. Jackson released a couple singles from her upcoming album and has announced tour dates. It's her first album in 7 years so be prepared to bust your change purse WIDE open for a ticket. My girl Tiffany Black is in pre-production for her project "The Gram" and as you can see she's #ThirstTrapping like a Motha. Ain't she fine? I be trying to tell yall my line up is sick. #WCE Please go donate toward her project. Every little bit counts, and tell her I sent ya. *wink*
"The Gram. To some, it's just a pastime at red lights. To others it's better than watching CNN. To these women, it's a business. Big business filled with airplane emojis, Chanel bags, and booking email addresses. This visual expression spills all the tea behind the thirst trappers who become online brands. Get to know Instagram as the plug AND the connect. You'll either be heavily informed or straight up called out. Either way, you'll enjoy the ride.
Donate a piece of money to get this project made and repost the meme that brought you here to spread the word. We'll take it from there"
Jemier will be in an encore performance of Emi Triology this October.Read More
The past 30 days have been a whirlwind. I ended a job I've been at for 5 years and was blessed to be #intheroom with some AMAZING people. In August, I met Raekwon backstage before his concert at SOBs. Earlier in the day he released his first sneaker and thousands of people lined up to get a pair. Fans and colleagues alike showed up to make purchases and congratulate him on the release. It was incredible to see such a HUGE goal accomplished. It gave me hope.
I got to speak to his friend briefly backstage. I listened quietly as he connected this event to a dream almost 20 years prior. He told me he couldn't have imagined that his love for kicks would manifest like this. That he'd have the opportunity to release a shoe. 20 years later, a thought, has become a reality. I could see the unbelief in his eyes. He was living it, and it was still hard to believe. I was so blessed by that conversation. I needed to hear that. I needed to witness that testimony. Anyone that has a desire or dream needs a "Dreams Come True" reminder every now and then. This was my night. If I ever see them again, I'll thank them. #KeepDreaming
This past Monday I was #Intheroom with another group of dream chasers. Rob Markman and Kristin Coral interviewed Kirby Maurier and Vince Valholla in the Engine Room. They discussed her new album "Doing the Most" which was released on iTunes July 31st.
Rob and Kristin let me sit in on the interview and honey it was a treat! I learned a lot but most importantly, I met some really cool people. Them + Kirby's realness = My favorite Red light special Podcast.
I've been friends with Kirby and Vince for a while and it's been such a joy witnessing their journey. Kirby's vocals are CRAZY! She also wrote and arranged the album as well. Talented much? Click The "Learn More" Link to listen to the podcast. At the end she does a Mariah Carey impersonation ("Forth of July" - If you'd like to listen to the original song) that's going to make you raise your hand in praise. *cues organ* #Church I wish you all continued success!
